What we collect ourselves

Upkeep Plan does not require an account and does not ask you for personal information to read anything on the site. Our server keeps standard request logs — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — which we use to keep the site running and to spot abuse. Those logs are deleted on a rolling basis.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The lawn size and grass type you enter are never sent to us.

Cookies and advertising

We serve advertising through third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. See our cookie policy for details. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking them does not break anything on this site.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. We do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles of our readers ourselves.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy something. That includes Amazon Associates links when an associate tag is configured. Newsletter

If you subscribe to Your Yard This Month, we store your email address so we can send one message per month with seasonal yard and home tasks. We do not sell that list. Unsubscribe links appear in every send. Delete requests go to [email protected].

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it deleted, or to opt out of its sale — we do not sell personal data. Requests go to [email protected].

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes with it.
